Through centralized monitoring, vendor coordination, and shared standards. SEO helps libraries better understand and respond to potential risks while respecting local governance and authority. Key aspects of this approach include: Monitoring system and security information to identify vulnerabilities. Proactively notifying local administrators of potential issues. Supporting mitigation efforts without replacing local IT decision-making. SEO’s role is intentionally designed to support and inform, providing libraries with actionable information while preserving local control. Highlights The consortium experienced growth in 2025, with the addition of one new library. Evergreen Community Library Digihub resumed operations, facilitating the scanning of 1,141, items by external entities. Page 5 ITMaaS (IT Managed as a Service) launched a targeted pilot project with Guernsey County District Public Library to assess the specific needs of our consortium members. This foundational step is shaping the development of a future IT solution, a service designed to provide oversight and security protection without replacing existing local IT operations. Enhancements to the ILS: SMS address update - moved the SMS address field from address 2 to address 1 to make patron registration faster and easier. Lost card wizard - added a wizard that makes replacing lost library cards quicker and more efficient. Hold fulfillment priority - changed hold rules so that patron requests are filled before display user holds. Expanded Patron Point use - increased use of Patron Point, including hosting an informational session with 32 attendees. Improved help articles - made support articles clearer and more consistent by setting easy-to-read guidelines, improving screenshots, and reviewing updates for accuracy.
